European Dynamics UK Ltd Loses $6.2M Arbitration Case

European Dynamics UK Ltd faced a $6.2 million international arbitration claim against Nigeria, which was dismissed by the tribunal. The announcement was made by Kamarudeen Ogundele, Special Assistant to the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, on February 22, 2026.

The arbitration involved a dispute over a national procurement project, with the contractor alleging claims of approximately $2.4 million for milestone completion, $3 million in general damages, and an additional $800,000 in settlement claims. The Nigerian legal team, led by Johnson Wilner LLP and partner Basil Udotai, successfully argued that the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) had not consented to the merger of project phases.

The Attorney General highlighted this legal win as a message to the international community that Nigeria is resetting its approach to business and is committed to upholding standards in public sector technology contracts. The ruling is part of Nigeria's broader efforts to strengthen its legal framework and public procurement processes.
