Cleric Advocates Solar Power Adoption in Nigeria

Cleric Olumide Emmanuel has called for the widespread adoption of solar power in Nigeria, using Aso Rock as a model. He argues that the country faces significant economic challenges, not primarily due to revenue issues but rather due to mismanagement of funds and corruption.

Emmanuel highlights the importance of accountability among governors and local government chairmen, suggesting that they should not solely rely on the presidency for solutions. He points out that Nigeria's infrastructure deficiencies, particularly in power generation and fuel supply, hinder economic growth and increase costs for businesses.

For instance, he notes that a business spends N7.5 million monthly on diesel, which could be reduced to N130 million by switching to solar energy. Emmanuel stresses that investing in solar power could lead to significant savings and improve the overall economic landscape, allowing for better management of resources and infrastructure.
