Chioma Ifemeludik Named AAC Senatorial Candidate for 2027

Chioma Ifemeludik has been declared the senatorial candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC) representing the Anambra Central Senatorial District in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This announcement followed a consensus arrangement during the party's primary elections held in Awka on Thursday.

The exercise was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and attended by party members and stakeholders. Ikenna Obianeri, the AAC Deputy National Chairperson, praised the orderly conduct of the party members throughout the exercise.

Ifemeludik expressed gratitude for the party's faith in her and pledged to provide quality representation, emphasizing her commitment to social justice and the need for political integrity. She acknowledged the challenges posed by major political parties but affirmed her dedication to advocating for the people of Anambra.

Ifemeludik will face a significant contest against the incumbent senator, Victor Umeh, in the upcoming elections.
