AAC Candidate Chioma Ifemeludik Withdraws from Race

Chioma Ifemeludik, the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for the Anambra Central Senatorial District, announced her withdrawal from the 2027 senatorial race. In a letter addressed to the party's national chairperson, she cited her recent personal conviction as a significant factor influencing her decision.

Ifemeludik, who also serves as the AAC Deputy National Chairperson for the South East, emphasized her commitment to justice and protecting vulnerable members of society. She expressed that recent events, particularly concerning the case involving Dori Ogala and Umezurik, have deeply affected her and contributed to her decision to step away from the senatorial race.

Ifemeludik formally requested her name be withdrawn from the records related to the Anambra Central Senatorial District candidacy. She expressed gratitude to the party leadership and members for their support and reaffirmed her loyalty to the AAC, pledging to continue advocating for justice and the party's ideals.
