Petinrin Praises DSS for Successful Kidnap Rescue in Oyo

Oluseyi Petinrin, a retired Air Chief Marshal and former Chief of Defence Staff, commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for their recent successful rescue operation of a kidnapped pupil and teacher in Oriire, Oyo State. Petinrin noted that the intelligence gathered significantly aided the DSS in executing the operation.

He expressed his admiration for the conduct of the DSS during the rescue, emphasizing that their efforts were crucial in identifying the kidnappers and turning the tide against them. Petinrin remarked on the importance of maintaining operational silence, which he believes contributed to the success of the mission.

He stated that the victims later revealed that no kinetic action was involved in their release, and the kidnappers communicated their reasons for letting them go.
