DSS Arrests Eight Kidnappers, Rescues Oyo Victims

The Department of State Services (DSS) announced the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo 56 days ago. According to spokesperson Onanuga, the operation led to the arrest of eight kidnappers and the neutralization of several others.

The DSS emphasized that the rescue mission was executed without any concessions to the kidnappers, who had made demands for the release of the victims. Onanuga stated that the agency would provide a full account of the operation soon.

The presidency has also recognized the mission as a significant success for Nigeria's security agencies. The announcement follows earlier communications from the presidential spokesman regarding the successful rescue efforts.
