Petinrin Praises DSS for Successful Kidnap Rescue in Oyo

Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin, the former Chief of Defence Staff, commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for its successful rescue operation involving 46 kidnapped pupils and a teacher from a school in Oriire, Oyo State. Petinrin stated that intelligence is crucial to military operations, asserting that the DSS's effective intelligence significantly aided the rescue efforts.

He noted that the DSS had maintained silence during the operation, which he found impressive, as it allowed them to execute their plans without public scrutiny. Petinrin highlighted that the victims revealed the circumstances of their release, indicating that no kinetic action was involved in their rescue.

He acknowledged the DSS's ability to identify and track the kidnappers, which contributed to the success of the operation. Petinrin expressed that the DSS's professionalism and discreet approach were key factors in achieving this significant success.
