Edo State Launches CBT Centre to Boost Youth Education

Dr. Paddi Iyamu, the former Edo State Commissioner, has announced a partnership with the Daisi Danjuma Foundation to establish a Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre in Oredo Federal Constituency.

This initiative is set to break ground at the end of May and is part of a broader effort to support Governor Monday Okpebholo's drive to improve educational infrastructure in Edo State. The project aims to bridge the technological education gap at the grassroots level, ensuring that young people in Oredo are not left behind in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The CBT Centre will remove barriers to access, allowing youth to prepare for examinations such as JAMB and WAEC, and will also offer digital skill training programs to empower them for global technology-driven job markets. Iyamu emphasized the importance of this project for community development and the need for partnerships with stakeholders, including a Chinese institution that will help train 800 youths in advanced technology skills.
