Former Lawmaker Cyril Egwuatu Dies at 80

Cyril Egwuatu, a former member of the House of Representatives, has died at the age of 80. He represented the Onitsha North/South federal constituency from 2011 to 2015, elected under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

His family confirmed his passing and stated that he was trained as an engineer in Western Germany. Cyril Egwuatu is survived by his wife and children, including Dr.

Vivian Egwuatu, who is a lecturer at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin. The family has announced that burial arrangements will be made, with the date set for March 31, 2026, at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu.
