Abubakar Adamu Endorses Labaran Maku for Senate Seat

Abubakar Adamu, the former Inspector General of Police, has officially endorsed Labaran Maku as the Labour Party candidate for the Nasarawa North senatorial by-election. The announcement was made during a meeting of the Counter Mobilization Committee for Adamu's 2027 campaign, held in Akwanga.

Nathaniel Maku, the committee chairman, described Maku as the preferred candidate after consulting various stakeholders regarding the senatorial seat, which became vacant following the death of Senator Godiya Akwashiki due to prolonged illness. Adamu's endorsement emphasized Maku's qualifications and experience, stating that he is capable of attracting development to the district.

Jacob Kudu, a member representing Nasarawa Eggon East in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, also expressed support for Maku, highlighting his credibility and leadership experience. Maku has pledged to provide effective representation if elected in the upcoming poll scheduled for June 20.
