Awalaro Akwashiki Endorses Maku for Nasarawa North Seat

Awalaro Akwashiki, the father of the late Senator Godiya Akwashiki, publicly endorsed Labaran Maku as the Labour Party candidate for the upcoming Nasarawa North senatorial by-election on June 20. During a campaign event at his ancestral home in Angba Iggah, Nasarawa Eggon LGA, Awalaro stated that his family would fully support Maku, following the wishes of his late son.

He noted that Maku had previously rejected monetary offers during his campaign, emphasizing his commitment to the community. Awalaro described Maku as a man of integrity and expressed confidence in his ability to continue the good work initiated by his late son.

Anza Yunana Akwashiki, the younger brother of the late senator, corroborated their father's position, highlighting the family's decision to endorse Maku to sustain the legacy of Godiya Akwashiki. Maku assured that he would complete the road projects initiated by the late senator if elected.
