Kano Commissioners Accuse Government of Intimidation

Former commissioners in Kano State have publicly accused the state government of intimidation after their vehicles were seized. This action followed the resignation of a former commissioner in response to Governor Yusuf's defection to the APC.

The commissioners argue that the seizure of their vehicles, which were assigned to them four months prior, violates their rights and is an unlawful act. They have issued a press release, signed by Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Umar (retd), requesting the return of the vehicles and highlighting legal provisions that support their position.

The former commissioners are seeking judicial intervention to address what they describe as aggressive actions by the government, which they claim have trespassed on their homes and violated their personal liberties. They emphasize the importance of adhering to the rule of law and have approached the court for legal interpretation of the matter, urging citizens to remain calm during this period of alleged government propaganda.
