Kano Anti-Graft Agency Recovers Vehicles from Ex-Commissioners

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) successfully recovered vehicles from former commissioners, including Ibrahim Umar (former Commissioner for Security), Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso (former Commissioner for Youth and Sports), Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata (former Commissioner for Science and Technology), Dr.

Adam Aliyu Kibiya (former Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs), and Hon. Nasiru Sani Garo (former Commissioner for Special Projects).

This action followed a formal letter from the Kano State Government's Secretary, requesting the immediate return of the vehicles. Despite the request, compliance was not forthcoming, prompting the anti-corruption agency to initiate recovery processes.

Comrade Sa Idu Yahaya, the chairman of the commission, stated that the agency's actions are not politically motivated but aimed at ensuring accountability and protecting public resources. He emphasized that the state will not tolerate misconduct or unlawful retention of government property, reinforcing the commitment to uphold integrity in public service.
