Shekarau Resigns from PDP, Citing Political Realignment

Ibrahim Shekarau, the former governor of Kano State, has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), with his resignation taking immediate effect. The resignation letter, dated April 19, 2026, was addressed to the PDP chairman of Giginyu Ward in Nassarawa Local Government Area, Kano State.
