Ex-Lagos Commissioner Becomes South-West ADC Chairman in Swearing-In Ceremony

Rahman Owokoniran, a former Lagos State Commissioner, has been appointed as the South-West Zonal Chairman of the African Democrat Congress (ADC). The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the party's national chairman, Senator David Mark.

The inauguration of Owokoniran's zonal executive committee was featured in the event. The ADC dismissed reports of internal discord within the South-West region, labeling them as baseless and intended to mislead party members and the public.

The party's chieftain, Coker Onita, rejected claims of disowning the national body and accused agents supporting the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to destabilize the ADC in the South-West through misinformation. The ADC emphasized its growing influence and acceptance in the region, welcoming constructive debates while resisting attempts to weaken its leadership structure.

The party affirmed its unity and commitment to providing a credible political alternative in Nigeria.
