Ovie Ejaria Seeks New Club via LinkedIn After Release

Ovie Ejaria, a 28-year-old midfielder, is actively searching for a new club through LinkedIn after being released by Real Oviedo, a Spanish second-division side, where he had signed a two-year contract in July 2025 but was let go after just one season. Ejaria, who can play in the six, eight, and ten roles as well as on the left wing, opted for this unconventional approach to attract potential clubs.

He began his career at Arsenal before moving to Liverpool, where he spent six years, including four as a first-team player, although he made only two senior appearances. He was loaned out three times to Sunderland, Rangers, and Reading, with his last loan to Reading becoming a permanent move in 2020.

After being released by Reading in December 2023, he remained without a club for over a year before joining Real Oviedo. Born in England to Nigerian parents, Ejaria is eligible to represent both countries at the international level, and discussions about his potential commitment to Nigeria have resurfaced following his recent post.
