Adelabu Challenges APC Primary Results in Oyo State

Adebayo Adelabu, a former minister, has publicly challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary results in Oyo State, alleging that there has been manipulation in the electoral process. In a statement made on Friday, signed by his media aide, Femi Awogboro, Adelabu asserted that the total number of registered APC members in Oyo State is 153,640, contrary to the claim made by Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who stated that the membership was around 500,000.

Adelabu, who lost to Alli in the governorship primary, emphasized the need for transparency and accuracy in the electoral results, urging party members to await the official declaration. He also claimed to enjoy strong grassroots support across the state and expressed concern over the integrity of the results, stating that they should not be truncated or altered.

Adelabu's statements reflect ongoing disputes regarding the legitimacy of the primary election outcomes within the APC in Oyo State.
