Gov Kefas Wins APC Ticket Amid Allegations from Jaji

Governor Kefas secured the APC return ticket for the upcoming elections with a total of 166,357 votes across 16 local government areas in Taraba State, defeating former Minister of Transport Alhaji Muazu Sambo Jaji, who garnered only 4,110 votes. The results were announced by Dr.

Haruna Yakubu on behalf of the committee chairman on Friday evening at Fast Track Hotel in Jalingo. Governor Kefas expressed gratitude to party members for their support and confidence in the party for the 2027 general elections.

However, Jaji's campaign organization, led by Dr. Ishaq El Kasim, rejected the outcome, alleging that the electoral process was marred by violence and irregularities.

They claimed that Jaji's convoy was attacked by thugs, and that several polling centers did not conduct voting properly, with supporters being denied access to vote. The campaign organization has compiled complaints to submit to the APC appeal committee.
