Ex-NASENI Boss Rejects APC Primaries in Nasarawa State

Prof. Mohammad Sani Haruna, the former Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has publicly rejected the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Nasarawa State. He described the exercise as a sham, alleging widespread irregularities throughout the state.

Haruna addressed journalists at his campaign office in Keffi, stating that anyone who believes the results is acting against their conscience. He claimed that voting materials meant for various wards were diverted, and as a result, many party members could not participate in the elections.

Haruna emphasized that the results declared were fabricated, with some wards reporting as high as 80 percent voter turnout, which he deemed a slap on democracy. He urged the APC's national secretariat to review the process and conduct fresh primaries in the state, asserting that he has gathered documentary evidence, including videos and testimonies, to support his claims.

Haruna called for peace and urged stakeholders to remain calm.
