Professor Bande Installed as District Head in Kebbi

Professor Bande, a former Nigeria’s UN envoy, was installed as the district head in Kebbi during a ceremony at the Abdullahi Fodio Palace in Birnin Kebbi. The event took place over the weekend and was attended by prominent figures, including Governor Nasir Idris, former governor and Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, former governor and ambassador Sa’idu Dakingari, and former governor and Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero.

The Emir praised Bande for his humility and commitment to serving his community, noting that his return to leadership was a joyous occasion for the emirate. In his acceptance speech, Bande described his appointment as a significant responsibility and pledged to work closely with Governor Idris, the Emir of Gwandu, and the emirate council.

He committed to promoting peace, security, and development in the communities under his jurisdiction and offered support to the governor in the upcoming elections.
