Ex-Plateau Military Administrator, Senator Mana, dies

Former Plateau Military Administrator and Senator, Senator Mana, passed away on Friday evening in Abuja, as confirmed by a family member. Mana, who served as the military administrator of Plateau State from December 1993 to August 1996 under the late Gen Sani Abacha regime, later became the commander of the presidential guard brigade.

He was elected as a Senator for Adamawa North in 2007 under the administration of Abdussalami Abubakar. The deceased is survived by a child and wife.

The funeral prayer is scheduled to take place at 2pm on Saturday at the Abuja National Mosque. Mana's death has been met with sadness and condolences from various quarters.
