Nigeria Rejoins CAF A Coaching Convention After Nine Years

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially readmitted Nigeria into the CAF A Coaching Convention, marking a significant development for the country's football coaching landscape after a nine-year hiatus. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to resume activities related to CAF coaching courses, which had been on hold.

Jaida Zakaria, who manages CAF's coaching education project, communicated this decision in a letter to the NFF on Wednesday. Dr.

Terri Babatunde Eguaoj, the head of coach education at the NFF, expressed excitement over this development, emphasizing its importance for Nigerian coaches. The NFF will begin preparations to organize logistics for the first CAF license coaching course in Nigeria since 2017, aiming to enhance the coaching capabilities within the country.

This readmission is seen as a crucial step in developing football coaching standards in Nigeria.
