NFF to Launch CAF Coaching License Courses in 2026

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to organize CAF A and B license courses aimed at upgrading the qualifications of coaches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and other elite divisions. The CAF B license refresher course will take place from June 20 to 24, 2026, while the CAF license course will be delivered in six modules over seven months, starting on August 2, 2026, and concluding on February 7, 2027.

This initiative is part of the NFF's strategic effort to build coaching capacity across the country. NFF Technical Director Augustin Eguavoen noted Nigeria's recent readmission to the CAF licensing program after a nine-year absence.

Eligible applicants for the courses include active elite-level coaches working in the NPFL, Nigeria National League (NNL), Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), and national team candidates who hold a CAF B diploma. Candidates must be able to read and write in English, possess computer literacy, and provide a medical certificate, curriculum vitae, and a reference letter.

Twenty-five coaches who pass the pre-assessment test for the B license refresher will receive a CAF CM link to begin the licensing program.
