Ardo: Atiku, Amaechi's Exit Won't Halt ADA Registration

Umar Ardo, a promoter of the Democrat Alliance (ADA), stated that the recent departures of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi from the committee should not impede the registration process for ADA. During an interview on a television morning show, Ardo highlighted that the idea of registering ADA was strongly advocated within the opposition coalition.

He noted that the situation changed when members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition lost interest in the new party. Despite these departures, Ardo emphasized that the committee is committed to proceeding with the registration process and will resubmit the necessary documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He indicated that the ADC has shown interest in contesting the presidential election on the ADA platform, reinforcing the need for the registration to continue despite the changes in committee membership.
