LG Launches Smart Dehumidifiers to Combat Humidity in Nigeria

LG Electronics introduced its new smart dehumidifiers to the Nigerian market on Wednesday in Abuja, addressing the increasing humidity levels that deteriorate indoor air quality and pose health risks. Mr.

Paul Mba, head of corporate market at LG Electronics, emphasized that the dehumidifiers can remove up to 30 liters of moisture daily, equivalent to extracting water from hundreds of standard bottles. The devices utilize LG's dual inverter compressor technology to adjust performance based on real-time humidity levels, ensuring effective moisture control while reducing energy consumption.

Ms. Yeeun Kim highlighted the long-term health impacts of high humidity, which can lead to mold growth and damage household items.

The dehumidifiers operate quietly at 33 decibels, making them suitable for bedrooms and offices. Two models were introduced: a 34-liter capacity unit and a 28-liter variant, both equipped with smart features for remote monitoring via smartphones.

The products are available nationwide through Fouani Nigeria Ltd's retail network.
