Nigeria's Energy Sector Repositioning at CDYPE 2026

Nigeria's oil and gas operators, regulators, technical institutions, and financial advisers are collaborating to reposition the country's energy sector for enhanced international participation and investment. This initiative will be showcased at the Nigeria–China country focused session during the China (Dongying) International Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment & Technology Exhibition (CDYPE 2026), scheduled for September 28-30, 2026, in Dongying, Shandong Province, China.

Tuoyo Memuduaghan, a member of the CDYPE organizing committee, stated that the session aims to provide a platform for Nigerian stakeholders to engage with Chinese financiers, engineering firms, and technology providers. Dongying is significant due to its status as a major hub for petroleum technology and equipment manufacturing, accounting for about one-third of China's output in this sector.

The city hosts over 500 businesses focused on petroleum services, making it an ideal location for Nigerian companies to seek strategic partnerships.
