Explosive Scare Strands Motorists on Zamfara Highway

On Friday morning, motorists traveling along the Gusau-Tsafe-Funtua road in Zamfara were left stranded due to rumors that bandits had planted several bombs along the route. This incident, reported by Adamu Moham, caused a large number of vehicles to park along the road as drivers feared potential explosions.

Some motorists managed to maneuver their vehicles back to safety, while others abandoned their journeys and sought refuge. The situation escalated following a similar incident the previous Wednesday, where a bomb explosion caused significant damage to a trailer vehicle.

DSP Yazid Abubakar, spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed that the police had directed motorists not to travel on the road until it was cleared by bomb detection personnel. He emphasized that security personnel were dispatched to inspect the road to ensure safety and advised commuters to avoid the area due to ongoing fears of bomb explosions.
