Zamfara Police Intercept Vehicle Carrying 954 Explosives Meant for Bandits

The Zamfara Police intercepted a vehicle carrying 954 explosives meant for bandits in Zamfara State. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Mustapha Mohammad, was apprehended.

The Police spokesperson, Yazid Abubakar, disclosed the development in a statement. Mustapha Mohammad was arrested by the police's task force on illegal mining activities based on credible intelligence.

The suspect and the recovered explosives are currently in police custody for further analysis and investigation to determine the source, destination, and intended use of the explosives. This interception comes less than a week after a similar incident in Oyo State, where the police stopped a truck loaded with materials suspected to be explosive components in the Saki area of Ogun State.
