Ezechukwu Wins Women's Junior 100m at MTN Champs

At the 2026 MTN Champs Continental Relays held in Plateau State, Miracle Ezechukwu emerged as the fastest woman in the women's junior 100m, successfully defending her title with a time of 11.42 seconds. Ezechukwu's performance included a personal best of 11.26 seconds, which did not set a new MTN Champs U-20 record but positioned her joint 5th on the Nigerian U-20 time list.

Luci Nwankwo finished second with a time of 11.65 seconds, while Rosemari Nwankwo placed third at 11.78 seconds. In the men's junior 100m, Emmanuel Akolo of Team MTN won with a time of 10.63 seconds, followed by teammates Reuben Destini and Alvin Onyeama.

Toheebat Jimoh also showcased her sprinting prowess by winning the women's 100m with a personal best of 12.03 seconds. Other notable performances included Okechukwu Ezeh winning the men's 100m and Ezekiel Asuquo achieving a lifetime best in the men's 400m.
