Ezechukwu Shines at MTN Championships, Qualifies for U20 Worlds

At the MTN Championships held in Calabar, Cross River State, Miracle Ezechukwu delivered an outstanding performance in the junior girls' 100m, posting the fastest overall time of 11.67 seconds despite a headwind of 1.3m/s. Her teammate, Rosemari Chigozi, followed closely with a time of 11.89 seconds, while Luci Nwankwo secured third place with a time of 12.22 seconds.

Ezechukwu's performance qualified her for the U20 World Championships scheduled to take place in the United States in August. In the junior boys' 100m, Godwin Oghenerunor led with a time of 10.75 seconds, followed by Libert Okon at 10.97 seconds.

The youth girls' category saw Festu Okon qualify first with a time of 12.26 seconds. The competition, which began on March 6, featured various categories and was attended by dignitaries including the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt.

Hon. Peter Odey, and officials from MTN and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
