Ezechukwu Aims for Double Gold at African Championships

Miracle Ezechukwu, a Nigerian sprinter and the youngest member of the Nigerian contingent, is targeting gold medals in both the 100m and 4x100m relay at the 24th African Athletics Championship taking place in Accra, Ghana. Ezechukwu, a recent secondary school graduate, expressed her determination to deliver strong performances and set new personal records.

She emphasized her commitment to the Nigerian team and her readiness to compete against elite athletes. Ezechukwu is also part of Nigeria's women's 4x100m relay squad, which recently competed in Botswana, gaining valuable experience.

She acknowledged the lessons learned from previous competitions, including challenges faced during relays that affected the team's rhythm. Ezechukwu highlighted the importance of discipline, hard training, and trust in her coach, believing that these factors will lead to positive results.

The Nigerian team comprises 41 members, including 24 female and 17 male athletes, competing across multiple track and field events.
