This win ensures Chelsea's progression to the semi-final stage of the FA Cup. According to Opta, Chelsea's first team has now scored 7 or more goals in an FA Cup quarter-final match, a feat last accomplished by Liverpool against Birmingham City in the 2005-06 season.
