FAAN Confirms Arrest of Four Bandits at Akure Airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced the arrest of four suspected bandits at Akure Airport in Ondo State. Henri Agbebir, FAAN's Director of Public Affairs, disclosed this information in a statement on Sunday.

The arrests occurred within the vicinity of the airport following a distress alert regarding suspicious individuals spotted behind the airport perimeter, particularly towards Eleyewo Community. In response, security personnel, including FAAN's Aviation Security (AVSEC), the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and local security outfits, launched a joint search operation.

FAAN reassured the traveling public and the host community of its unwavering commitment to maintaining safety and security at the airport.
