FAAN Introduces Cashless Payment System at Lagos, Abuja Airports

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched a cashless payment system at Lagos and Abuja airports in collaboration with Paystack, replacing cash transactions with a seamless contactless payment system starting from September 29, 2025. This initiative is designed to modernize payment processes, reduce reliance on cash, increase operational efficiency, boost revenue, and enhance the overall customer experience at Nigerian airports.

FAAN has deployed trained brand ambassadors at entry gates and payment terminals to guide users in adopting the new system. The cashless system will eventually expand nationwide, aligning Nigerian airports with global digital payment trends.
