FAAN Launches Operation Go Cashless at Lagos and Abuja Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched a new cashless payment system called Operation Go Cashless at Lagos and Abuja airports. This contactless payment system, in collaboration with Paystack, will be operational from September 29, 2025, at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The initiative aims to enhance efficiency, revenue assurance, and customer experience by phasing out cash collection points at various airport revenue points. FAAN emphasized the move towards a secure, modern, and transparent payment system to align Nigerian airports with global digital standards.

The agency plans to gradually implement the cashless policy across all airports nationwide.
