FAAN Implements Cashless Payment System for Revenue Boost at Nigerian Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has introduced a cashless payment system at Nigerian airports, starting with Lagos and Abuja. This initiative, named Operations Go Cashless, aims to enhance service quality, efficiency, and revenue generation.

FAAN projects a significant revenue increase of over 50% as the scheme expands to other airports. The partnership with financial firm Paystack facilitates the transition to cashless transactions, aligning Nigerian airports with global standards.

The move towards automation and modernization is part of a broader plan to reinvest additional income into airport infrastructure, ensuring sustained growth and improved passenger experience.
