FAAN Expects 75% Revenue Surge with New Cashless Policy at Nigerian Airports

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) anticipates a 75% revenue boost through its new cashless policy at airports by early 2026. The initiative, launched at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, led to a 50% revenue increase during the pilot phase.

FAAN plans to triple revenue within the first year of full implementation. The partnership with Paystack will introduce comprehensive cashless payment solutions at airports nationwide, starting at Lagos and Abuja.

The move aims to streamline transactions, improve security, and ensure transparent revenue collection.
