Facebook Offers $3,000 Monthly to Attract Creators

Facebook, under its parent company Meta, has launched a new initiative to attract content creators from platforms like TikTok and YouTube by offering $3,000 per month to those who post 15 reels monthly. This program targets creators with established audiences of over one million followers.

Smaller accounts with fewer followers can earn $1,000 monthly. Jordan Schwarzenberg, CEO of Arcad Management, commented on the offer, suggesting it may not significantly impact creators' revenue streams, as the payment structure does not cover production costs.

He described the initiative as a desperate move to regain relevance in the creator economy, where younger audiences prefer platforms like TikTok and YouTube. The program is currently limited to the United States and Canada, with no plans for international expansion.

Meta has invested nearly $3 billion in various creator monetization programs, but skepticism remains about whether this new offer will effectively shift creator behavior or attract a substantial audience.
