Nwabueze Defends Legitimacy of 'Made in Nigeria' Office

George Nwabueze, serving as the National Coordinator and Executive Director of the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office, has defended the legitimacy of his office by posting additional documents on LinkedIn. These documents purportedly demonstrate connections with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

One document, dated July 19, 2010, is a letter signed by Dominic Y.E. for the SGF, addressed to “Buchi George,” who was then the Executive Director of The Hats Centre in Owerri, Imo State. The letter acknowledges a proposal dated July 16, 2010, regarding a “Made in Naija” project to be held in Ireland as part of Nigeria’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Nwabueze commented on the document, emphasizing the historical significance of the project, which he claims has been ongoing since June 15, 2010, and criticized those questioning its legitimacy. PUNCH Online has not confirmed the authenticity of the letter.
