Family of Five Killed in Plateau State Attack

On the evening of the attack, around 9 PM, a family of five was killed in Plateau State, which heightened fears among residents due to the increasing frequency of such incidents. Christoph, a community member, reported that assailants stormed the area and opened fire on unsuspecting residents, resulting in the immediate deaths of the family members.

Rwang Tengwong, the public secretary of the Berom Youth Moulder, confirmed the killings and condemned the attack, urging security agencies to intervene urgently. He disclosed that gunmen had attempted to attack the Rim community in the Riyom Local Government Area but were repelled by local vigilante personnel operating a security outfit known as Rainbow State.

Tengwong described the ongoing attacks as alarming and called on authorities to intensify efforts to protect lives and property across Plateau State. At the time of the report, Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, the state chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, stated he was not aware of the incident and called for security agencies to investigate the attack.
