Family Appeals to Ogun Government Over Poultry Land Dispute

The children of the late Alhaji Ganiyu Busari and the management of Constancy Farms in Fere Village, Jibowu, Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, have appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Tinubu for intervention against the Ogun State government's alleged move to reallocate their 11-acre poultry farm to a Chinese-owned company. The family claims this proposed takeover has led to threats and intimidation, damaging their property and causing losses to their business.

Kayode Akinmade, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, stated that the government revoked the family's land acquisition due to non-payment of assessment fees within the stipulated time, which is legally permissible. Akinmade mentioned that the new investor built a poultry pen for the family on the newly allocated land, but the family has refused to vacate.

Azeez Busari, one of the late Busari's children, alleged that the family has valid ownership documents and was pressured to vacate the land, which they were informed had been reallocated in 2025.
