Ogun State Denies Arbitrary Land Revocation for Poultry Farm

The Ogun State Government has denied allegations of arbitrarily revoking an 11-acre poultry farm land in Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area, asserting that the provisional offer was canceled because the applicant, Alhaja Adijat Busari, failed to pay the assessed cost of N334,493,200 within the stipulated 60-day period. The family of the late Ganiyu Busari and the management of Constancy Farms appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Tinubu, claiming threats and intimidation from government officials and representatives of a Chinese company regarding the land's reallocation.

Azeez Busari, one of Ganiyu Busari's children, stated that the family's poultry business, valued at over N1 billion, was at risk due to these actions. He mentioned that the family had begun partial payment of the assessment fee.

Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser to Governor Abiodun, clarified that the family only paid ancillary charges and did not meet the payment requirement for the land cost.
