Investigation Launched After Farmhand Found Hanging in Osun

Saviour, a 20-year-old farmhand from Benue State, was found hanging from a tree in the Alagbede Area of Orile-Owu, Osun State, on Thursday. His body was discovered after he had recently gone missing but had resurfaced a few days prior.
A local resident, Kareem, described Saviour as an easy-going person and expressed shock at the incident, noting that there were plans to return him to Benue by the end of the year. The matter was reported to the police, and operatives from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps visited the scene.
Abiodun Ojelabi, the Public Relations Officer of the Osun State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Zungura had ordered a thorough investigation. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further probing.
