Nigeria Launches Youth and Students in Innovation Programme

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, led by Comrade Ayodel Olawand, has partnered with the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, headed by Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, to initiate the Youth and Students in Innovation (YSI) programme.

This strategic alliance aims to position Nigerian youth at the forefront of the nation's innovation ecosystem. The programme will focus on identifying, nurturing, and empowering young innovators through skill mentorship opportunities necessary for driving Nigeria's innovation-led economic growth.

Comrade Olawand welcomed the initiative and expressed readiness for collaboration to ensure its success. The ministries reaffirmed their commitment to supporting youth-focused interventions that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable job creation.

Mr. Seyi Tinubu has been recommended for recognition as a champion of the YSI programme, which aims to engage and empower youth across the country, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
