Nigeria Youth Futures Fund Supports 456 Youth Organizations

The Nigeria Youth Futures Fund, represented by Richard Chieberi, has backed 456 youth-led organizations across Nigeria, investing millions to support initiatives that address community challenges. This announcement was made during the Youth Idea Summit 2.0 held in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The fund, initiated by LEAP Africa, MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Lumin Group, offers various grant cycles, including individual grants, development grants, and catalyst grants. Chieberi emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the fund's operations, highlighting the role of youth in strengthening civic engagement in the northeast.

The summit brought together 200 young people from six states, showcasing innovative community-based projects. Four winners of the Civic Innovation Challenge received N500,000 each to develop solutions for social challenges, while other fellows received grants to implement their projects.

The event aimed to inspire youth to engage actively in community development and policy influence.
