FCC Engages PTAD to Enhance Pensioners' Welfare

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCC), under the leadership of Executive Chairman Honor Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) regarding the welfare of pensioners. During a meeting at the FCC Headquarters in Abuja, Omidiran highlighted the significance of safeguarding the rights and dignity of pensioners, asserting that pension management is not merely an administrative obligation but a moral responsibility.

She commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing reforms aimed at addressing pension-related challenges and improving institutional efficiency. The PTAD delegation, led by Executive Secretary Tolulop Abiodun Odunaiya, reiterated their statutory mandate to settle outstanding pension liabilities and implement measures to harmonize pension administration.

Both parties emphasized the need for enhanced inter-agency cooperation to ensure that all eligible retirees receive their rightful entitlements without delay.
