Arewa Youth Back Gbajabiamila After State House Exoneration

The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) expressed support for Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, following a State House clarification that exonerated him from allegations of involvement in a fictitious presidential foreign intervention scheme. The statement, issued on Tuesday, detailed that the allegations were unfounded and highlighted Gbajabiamila's proactive role in alerting security agencies about suspicious activities.

The youth group noted that he first raised concerns on October 17, 2025, prompting investigations by the Department of State Services and the Nigerian Police Force. The AYCF commended Gbajabiamila for his commitment to transparency and good governance, emphasizing his long-standing reputation as an anti-corruption advocate.

They also criticized the credibility of the accuser, Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, citing his dubious history. The group reaffirmed their support for Gbajabiamila, stating that his actions reflect a sincere commitment to national development over personal gain.
