ADC Aspirant Calls for Kingibe's Disqualification Over Screening

Mubarak Ahmad Tijjani, an aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has urged the party leadership to disqualify Ireti Kingibe from the upcoming senatorial primaries. Tijjani alleges that Kingibe failed to appear before the party's screening committee, which is a mandatory requirement for all candidates.

He submitted that Kingibe's actions undermine the internal democracy of the ADC and that a candidate who cannot face the party's screening committee is fundamentally unfit to contest in the elections. Tijjani emphasized that the ADC's guidelines clearly state that any aspirant who fails to participate in the screening process should be disqualified from the primary election.

He warned that any attempt by the party leadership to favor Kingibe could lead to disputes among party members, particularly among the youth in the FCT, who are closely monitoring compliance with party rules. As of the time of reporting, Kingibe had not responded to the allegations.
