FCT Board Begins Medical Screening for Pilgrims

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, led by Mr. Dandam Gloria, initiated a medical screening process for intending Christian pilgrims heading to Israel and Jordan.

This significant step is part of the preparations for the 2025 and 2026 Easter pilgrimages. The screening, conducted in collaboration with the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) and relevant government agencies, aims to verify travel documents and assess the medical fitness of the pilgrims.

Mr. Dandam explained that the screening process is designed to enlighten pilgrims about their expectations during the journey and equip the medical team to address health needs.

He emphasized the importance of health checks, especially for individuals with conditions such as diabetes. Mr.

Adetunji Adetoy commended the FCT administration for coordinating the screening, which received a score of 95 percent for its effectiveness. Mr.

Christoph Biwa highlighted the spiritual benefits of the pilgrimage, stating it would strengthen the faith of participants.
