FCT Residents Honor Late Chief Daudu Jezhi's Legacy

The inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are mourning the death of Chief Daudu Jezhi, a revered leader and businessman within the Gbagyi community. The Karu Gbagyi Development Association, led by President Danladi Jeji, released a statement highlighting Chief Jezhi's significant contributions to the community and his unwavering commitment to preserving ancestral lands since the creation of the FCT in 1976.

Jezi was likened to an oak tree, symbolizing strength and resilience, whose sacrifices for the community have often been overlooked. He played a critical role in advocating for the rights of indigenous inhabitants against territorial changes following the establishment of the federal capital.

Sumner Shagari Sambo, another community leader, described Chief Jezhi as a custodian of the history of Karu and a defender of the chiefdom. His legacy is marked by his dedication to the community's welfare and his efforts to secure their rights and heritage.
